A job for my husband

I am thankful to God and St Josemaría for landing a job for my husband. It just came on time when our financial problem has to start next month. I will still continue my novena each day. Hope it would last and my husband would be happy to new job. I pray for the company where he is working at would do good business so he could keep full time hours. Grant my husband good health. Two miracles in one week

I am a fresh graduate who have been seeking for my first job recently. The process has been frustrating since I have a medical condition which may hinder me to get a job. Several failures in job application have made me lose hope and sometimes envy other people’s normal life. However thanks to my girlfriend’s encouragement I have begun to seek the intercession of St. Josemaría for finding a job. I kept praying to St. Josemaría and asking for his intercession to help me to get a suitable job so that I can start to contribute financially to my family.

True wisdom and holiness

I recently lost a job I had held for many years where I was making a good salary. My wife showed me the Novena for Work and I prayed it. I received several interviews and have an offer to start a new career at a higher salary with comparable if not better benefits. My time out of work was 1 and a half month. For me faith in God and the intercession of Saint Josemaría were keys in obtaining this new job. I will continue reciting and meditating the words of the Novena for there is true wisdom and holiness in those words.

We went for the normal ultrasound at 12 weeks which reported a normal and healthy baby. At the 19th week ultrasound on 6th February the sonographers found something unusual and conferred with the doctor. We were asked to return for another ultrasound the next day to see if the small abnormal sack would disappear overnight. The following day my wife attended the ultrasound where it was found that the abnormal find had not disappeared overnight.

What saintly patience he’s had with me!

I was an atheist until I discovered God three years ago, and it’s the best thing that ever happened to me. St Josemaria also surprised me by his endless kindness towards me, given that in my unbelieving period I doubted him too. (...) My friends just can’t believe the way I’ve changed. (...) I would like to ask anyone who reads this message to remember to pray for me through St Josemaria’s intercession, because I’m looking for a job. He is such a beautiful person, I’m sure he was very close to God. All I can say is, hooray for St Josemaria! (And what saintly patience he’s had with me!) (...) A short time ago I went into a church and by chance found a leaflet about him, and I was incredibly happy to read the beautiful things he taught. I’m just amazed. What humility! What a great capacity for forgiveness and for struggling! I can’t find words to express it. Actually I can – What a great capacity for loving! What unconditional love! I am a surgeon and in the hospital where I work, (...) the C. Fathers provide spiritual assistance. I wish to testify about a favour granted to a C. Father. (...) For the past 15 years the C. Fathers have run a voluntary association at the hospital to provide help for the sick, and during that period Father R. (...) has been seeking to obtain proper legal recognition for it on the part of the hospital administration, but they have always refused. So Father R. (...) began to pray to St Josemaria Escriva to intercede for this intention. To his great joy, the recognition has now been granted, and he is now about to celebrate a Mass of thanksgiving in honour of St Josemaria.

One day when I was going through a very tough time at work, getting laughed at, jeered at and mistreated by managers and coworkers, I went in despair to cry in a little chapel which is in the building where I work. When I went in I was surprised to see on one of the benches a torn prayer-card of St Josemaria. It was torn in half and placed there on top, as if someone had torn it in anger and then felt sorry and left it there.

An urgent transfer

I heard about St Josemaría through my father, who has a lot of devotion to him. I am the manager of a business with 45 workers which is going through serious difficulties, so that we have some days of real anguish. One of those days in July a representative came to the firm to take back a machine unless I paid the supplier instantly. It was about 6 in the evening and the banks were already closed. I called the bank saying that I needed to make a transfer urgently. They told me that at that time of day it was impossible, that the computer system would not permit transfers to be made. I remembered St Josemaria and asked him to help me at this really difficult moment. I went out to be alone for a few moments, and when I got back to the office where the representative was waiting for me, I got a call from the bank to say that “by a miracle” they had accessed the system and managed to effect the transfer, which would go through dated the following day. The representative accepted this payment, and everything was sorted. I give many thanks to St Josemaria who, with this help, increased my faith still more. Thank you!

More than receiving extra help

I was looking for extra help in the Language Centre in Macau where I work. Every year in July and August is busy with intensive English courses, so, we need an extra help in cleaning. The lady who cleans regularly in our school was helping me to look for another person, and she asked 3 to 4 persons, but they were not available. I was also looking but not successful. It was already June, and it was getting busier.

I received a call for an interview

I have been praying for a good job opportunity for my brother and me. I accidentally came across the Novena for work just in time for Saint Josemaría's feast day. I did the novena. On the third day I received a call for interview. My brother is now settled in his job overseas and I am to leave soon for a job outside the country as well. Thank you very much Saint Josemaría.
