Bishop Javier Echevarría, Prelate of Opus Dei

“This film served to remind me of the thousands of priests, from years past but also the current generation, they spend their lives with joy in the service of souls, in the service of society.”

Roland Joffé

Director, “There Be Dragons”

“He said that you didn’t only find God in church, you found God in everyday life, and I took that very seriously. I thought it was a very wonderful thing, but what happens if everyday life is a civil war? Where is God in a civil war?”

Among those in attendance, were those who knew St. Josemaría before he died in 1975.

Joaquin Navarro-Valls

Former Spokesperson of the Holy See

“The last five years of his life I lived with him. I remember, it was clear, even when he was an older person, his great sense of humor. And I would say this is one thing in the film that you can see.”

Card. Giovanni Chelli

“I think you see a large amount of what was the spirit of St. Josemaria Escriva. He had a very strong character, we were very, very good friends and when I came to Rome he would always invite me to Viale Bruno Buozzi to have lunch with him. I loved him very much and I hope that he also loves me now.”

Card. Julian Herranz

“It's a very timely message, because it speaks to what is necessary to have true peace, which is how to live and to forgive, because this is something that's necessary.”

“There Be Dragons,” is a movie for Catholics and non-Catholic alike, that doesn't seek to change any opinions on the conflict of the war. It will be released in theaters on March 25 in Spain and May 6 in the United States.
